The next regular meeting is Monday, February 8, 2010, starting at 7:30 PM, at the Doris Duke Center, part of the Sarah P. Duke Gardens, in Durham (driving directions). Our speaker will be Francisco Miranda, of Miranda Orchids, Haines City, FL. His topic will be "Rupicolous Orchids."

Dues are Due!
Membership dues for 2010 are due. Your membership dues help support the society and enable us to bring in top quality speakers, provide refreshments at meetings, maintain our library, and deliver great programs and activities, like Growers Day, Orchid Crawl, and our participation in Orchid shows like the ones coming up this month and next. When you think of all that you get, TOS dues are truly a great bargain. Dues are $18 for an individual, $24 for a couple. You can bring a check to a monthly meeting, or mail your dues to our treasurer, Melissa Bullard, 510 North Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.

Having member e-mail addresses would help us communicate more effectively with the members. E-mail communication would also save the society money. Please send your e-mail address to webmaster@triangleorchidsociety.org. Include your name in the body of the message. The member list will be use solely for society business.

Member Homepages: We want your personal web site! If you have a personal web site, we will be glad to provide a link from the TOS web site. It doesn't have to be about orchids, just a way to share your personal interests with other members. All you have to do is send the URL to our webmaster via webmaster@triangleorchidsociety.org

The move to Duke Gardens has enabled the inclusion of the Triangle Orchid Society library within the Duke Gardens horticulture library. A full list of books and journals is available these can be checked out during the meetings.
